Since opening in February 2020, South West Autohaus has delivered a smarter, more considered approach to vehicle care for our customers, our community and the environment. We’re here for those who expect more than the ordinary, a service experience that’s personal, progressive, and proudly different.

Backed by decades of experience, our mission is to shift perceptions of the automotive industry and to prove that customer service can be genuine, that environmental responsibility has a place in every workshop, and that value is measured in more than just a receipt.

Gareth Toddun – Founder & Master Technician
With over 20 years of industry experience, Gareth is a Factory-Trained Master Technician and Certified Product & Service Trainer for two leading German manufacturers. He spent five years adapting factory training modules from Munich and Stuttgart to certify technicians and service advisors across Australia. Gareth brings a rare depth of knowledge and precision to every vehicle that enters the workshop.

Doug – BMW Specialist & EV Certified Technician
A proud Geelong local, Doug joined South West Autohaus in 2021 with over 14 years of dedicated BMW experience. His Electric Vehicle Certification ensures we remain at the forefront of automotive innovation and are prepared for the future of German motoring.

Mitch – German Vehicle Technician
Also from Geelong, Mitch brings a decade of hands-on experience across both Volkswagen and BMW. His passion for continuous learning means he's constantly expanding his expertise across all German marques, providing versatile knowledge and care to every customer.

Halle – Chief Vibes Officer
Our beloved French Bulldog and workshop mascot. With over a decade of experience in charm and customer smiles, she proudly inspects our dog bowl quality and lifts our Instagram game one adorable photo at a time.

Our team is committed to staying ahead of industry advancements. We undertake annual training on the latest German vehicle technologies and have represented the business at Automechanika — the global automotive expo — in Germany (2022), UK (2023) and China (2024), with a focus on future-forward diagnostics and electric vehicle servicing.
